What is the Big Things Thing?

The Big Things Thing is a ridiculously difficult trip to pull off.

We have to take a photo in front of every, single, ‘Big Thing’ in Australia.

You know, like the Big Pineapple, Big Banana, Big Prawn…

Easy right?

Pretty much every single town has one.

Why only 3 months?

Dane is studying a Masters of Chemical Engineering at the University of Queensland, and his largest gap in studying is 90 days from November 15th 2024 to February 15th 2025 (approximately).

Dylan is also commencing studying In February of 2025.

The Wet Season

Nov-Feb is the Australian summer and wet season. Cyclones often shut roads down for weeks and no one drives in the wet season. At least, no one with half a brain to tell them not to.

But ours aren’t developed yet!

It’s a Movie

Whose done this before? No one? Well let’s record it.

We’re going to make a movie/short series out of what we record to document our adventure, because, well, it’ll be fun.

And a challenge.

Take a photo, it’ll last longer

All the photos we take, whether of a big thing or a beautiful sight, we’ll collate them into a book and also write about the experience.

Podcast

During the trip we plan to record a podcast episode each night and upload it as we go (hopefully).
